Meet Our Doctor

Dr. Judy Pawlusiow is a graduate of the Louisiana State University School of Veterinary newportrait1.jpg Medicine. She is a member of the Veterinary Honor Society of Phi Zeta and received numerous awards during her final year of clinical training at LSU. She was recognized as a Hill's National Nutrition Scholar for her case management and resulting publication "Dietary Management of Short Bowel Syndrome in a Dog". Dr. Judy Pawlusiow also holds a Master of Science degree in Veterinary Clinical Science - Toxicology from Louisiana State University Graduate School.

After graduation from LSU-SVM, Dr. Pawlusiow continued her veterinary medical training and completed an internship in Small Animal Internal Medicine and Surgery at The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine. Her internship project created the veterinary reference video "Endoscopic Examination of the Upper and Lower Gastrointestinal Tract of the Dog" which is a reference media available through the libraries of The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine, the Louisiana State University School of Veterinary Medicine and The American Veterinary Medicine Association.

Dr. Judy Pawlusiow also completed her residency in Small Animal Internal Medicine at The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine. She was awarded Diplomate status in The American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine in Small Animal Internal Medicine in 1996. She has over 25 years of experience as a Small Animal Internal Medicine Specialist, working as an associate in referral centers on Long Island, as a telemedicine consultant and as a mobile internist performing ultrasound, echocardiography and endoscopy at area veterinary hospitals.

 Judy Pawlusiow DVM, DipACVIM(SAIM) holds active membership status in the American Veterinary Medical Association, the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine, the New York State Veterinary Medical Society, the Connecticut Veterinary Medical Association, the Pennsylvania Veterinary Medical Association, the New Jersey Veterinary Medical Association and the Long Island Veterinary Medical Association.  She is an active participant in training programs for veterinary technicians, veterinary medical students and area veterinarians who wish to gain more ultrasound skill and experience.

In her leisure time, Dr Judy Pawlusiow enjoys hiking and outdoor photography .
